PapArtisan Privacy Policy

PapArtisan is a personal indie project built on the foundations of Paperize.io. This policy is intentionally simple because the app itself is simple - there are no servers, no accounts, no tracking.

Your data stays in your Google Drive

Everything you create in PapArtisan - your games, components, templates, images - is stored in a folder called "PapArtisan" in your own Google Drive. PapArtisan has no servers of its own. Your data never goes anywhere except your Google account.

What PapArtisan can access

PapArtisan requests two levels of Google Drive access:

• Read access to your Drive - used only for the image picker, so you can select existing images from your Drive without re-uploading them. PapArtisan does not read, copy, or transmit any other files.
• Write access to files it creates - PapArtisan can only modify files that it created itself. It cannot modify any other files in your Drive.

What PapArtisan doesn't do

• No data collection
• No tracking or analytics
• No ads
• No selling or sharing your information
• No email lists
• No reading or copying your Drive files beyond what you explicitly select in the image picker

Third party services

PapArtisan uses Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Fonts, and Google Sign In - all standard Google services. It is hosted on Netlify. Each has their own privacy policy worth reviewing if you're curious.

Authentication

Your Google email is used locally to load your database from Google Drive. It is stored in your browser only and is not sent anywhere.

Built on Paperize

PapArtisan is built on the open source Paperize.io. The inline icon and rich text features are unique to PapArtisan, but the core engine is their work. Please consider supporting them on Patreon.
